Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using LegisGate™ ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Use of the Service

LegisGate™ provides AI tool assessment and vendor privacy assessment software. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you submit and for ensuring your use complies with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

3. Account and Data

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure. You retain ownership of your data. By using the Service, you grant us the limited rights necessary to operate, host, and improve the Service. We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. AI and Outputs

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to assist with regulatory compliance assessments, risk analysis, document processing, and recommendations. All AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such within the Service.

AI outputs are for informational and workflow support only. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all outputs before relying on them for compliance or business decisions. The Service includes mandatory human review stages — AI-generated assessments cannot be finalized without human approval.

AI outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information and do not constitute legal, compliance, or professional advice. You acknowledge that AI analysis should be verified against current law and supplemented by qualified professionals.

For full details on how AI is used, what data is processed, and your rights, see our AI Transparency Notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, or use it in violation of any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit our liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
